John Pg 10

Chapter 20

Without, at the sepulchre, to Mary Magdalene

15Woman, why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou?

16Mary.

17Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

In the midst of the disciples behind closed doors

19Peace be unto you.

21Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22Receive ye the Holy Ghost: 23whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Eight days later

26Peace be unto you.

To Thomas

27Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

29Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Chapter 21

On the shore of the sea of Tiberias, to the disciples

5Children, have ye any meat?

6Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find.

10Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

12Come and dine.

To Simon Peter

15Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?

Feed my lambs.

16Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?

Feed my sheep.

17Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?

Feed my sheep. 18Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

19Follow me.

Answering Peter’s question, concerning the disciple who wrote these things: we know that his testimony is true,

“Lord, and what shall this man do?”

22If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee follow thou me.
